The Eritrean regime has turned Eritrea into the most censored country in the world, making resistance from the inside impossible. It is therefore up to the outside world to step up and do everything we can to support the Eritrean people. There are also many issues affecting Eritrean refugees outside of Eritrea that the diaspora must respond to. The overall situation might feel hopeless, but there are many issues happening right now that we can actually change and issues that require our long term engagement to succeed.

One Day Seyoum is an Eritrean human rights organisation that was started in 2013. We run strong campaigns and projects focused on both short and long term change, and mobilise people all over the world to get involved.

Only collective action can create meaningful change for the Eritrean people, and that is why we need as many people as possible to get involved.

  • ODS members help brainstorm, plan and execute our work. We are a volunteer-led organisation and all our work is possible thanks to our members. So the more members we have, the more work we can do.

Tasks include working on campaigns, organising events, volunteering with our refugee support services, documenting human rights abuses, work on our media projects (magazine, podcast, blog), designing and producing social media content, and much more…

We meet virtually once a month to connect, discuss relevant issues and plan our work.

Members can choose how much they want to get involved and when. Our membership is free and open to everyone.
